Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup:
- Power on the Surface Pro 10 by pressing the power button.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to select your region, keyboard layout, and connect to a Wi-Fi network.
- Sign in with your Microsoft account or create a new one.
- Complete the Windows 11 Pro setup, which includes accepting terms and configuring privacy settings.
- If prompted, sign in with your business account for full commercial features.
Compatibility:
The Surface Pro 10 runs Windows 11 Pro, ensuring broad compatibility with most Windows-based software. It features USB4 Gen 3x2 ports with Thunderbolt technology for connecting a wide range of peripherals, external displays, and high-speed storage. The Microsoft Surface Connector allows for easy docking and charging.
Care Instructions:
- Cleaning the Display: Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or an approved screen cleaner. Avoid spraying liquid directly onto the screen. Gently wipe the display in one direction.
- Cleaning the Body: Wipe the exterior with a soft, lint-free cloth. For tougher smudges, slightly dampen the cloth with water.
- Ventilation: Ensure the device's vents are not blocked to prevent overheating. Avoid placing it on soft surfaces like pillows or blankets for extended periods.
- Battery Care: Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures. To optimize battery life, adjust screen brightness and power settings as needed.
- Storage: When storing the device for extended periods, ensure it is powered off and kept in a cool, dry place.
