GEL Technology is a silicone-based cushioning material placed in the heel (and sometimes forefoot) of ASICS shoes. It's designed to absorb shock during impact, providing excellent comfort, reducing strain on joints, and enhancing the overall feel of the shoe during walking or standing.

The GEL-1130 is inspired by a classic stability running shoe from 2008, but it has been updated for modern comfort and style. It offers excellent everyday support and cushioning, making it ideal for casual wear, walking, and light activities, but it is not specifically designed for high-performance or competitive running.

For the mesh and synthetic upper, gently brush off loose dirt, then wipe with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and lukewarm water. For the soles, use a brush and soapy water. Always air dry your shoes at room temperature, away from direct heat or sunlight.

The TRUSSTIC Support System is a lightweight component located under the arch of the shoe. Its purpose is to provide enhanced stability, reduce excessive twisting of the foot, and maintain the structural integrity of the shoe during movement, leading to a more controlled and supported stride.

ASICS generally strives for consistent sizing. However, foot shapes vary. It is recommended to try them on or refer to the ASICS official size chart for the most accurate fit. If you're between sizes, consider the activity you'll be doing most often.

The mesh and synthetic upper materials are not waterproof. While they can handle light splashes, prolonged exposure to heavy rain or wet conditions may lead to wet feet. For consistent wet weather, consider waterproof footwear options.

Ensure you're wearing appropriate socks (moisture-wicking materials are best). The mesh upper provides ventilation, but heavy cotton socks can trap heat. If persistent, try airing out shoes and insoles after each use.

Adjust your lacing. For a looser feel, try skipping an eyelet or loosening the laces near the toes. For a tighter fit, ensure laces are pulled evenly from bottom to top and tied securely. Check sizing against ASICS' official size guide if the issue persists.

Often, this is due to the insole rubbing against the bottom of the shoe. Try removing the insole, dusting the inside of the shoe with a small amount of baby powder or cornstarch, and then reinserting the insole. If the squeak continues, check if the outsole is intact.

While GEL technology is durable, over time and extensive use, cushioning materials can compress. Ensure you are using the shoe for its intended purpose (everyday wear, light activities) and consider rotating with other shoes to extend their lifespan. If the issue is severe and the shoe is new, check for manufacturing defects.
