A striking vision initially brewed up back in 1999 which captured the speculative essence of a rapidly approaching new age - PUMA's Mostro has been resurrected for 2025. The upper is constructed from porous black mesh, while tonal leather Formstrips hallmark the sidewalls and touches of suede texturally elevate the pair. Underfoot, OrthoLite sockliners are underpinned by its trademark futuristic spiked rubber outsole. PUMA's Mostro is a sleek and futuristic footwear design, inspired by the brand's rich history in motorsport and athletics, featuring a distinctive zig-zag closure system and minimalist aesthetic that revolutionised the sneaker world when the original low-cut model debuted in the '90s. This black mesh edition feature tonal Formstrips and suede accents, while further down we see the famed rubber-spiked outsole. First released in 1999, the Mostro has become one of PUMA's best-selling shoes ever. Affectionally named after the Italian word for "monster", it was originally inspired by two sports shoes – a sprinting spike from 1968 and a surfing shoe from the 80s. This latest version has a somewhat more aggressive look with slightly longer spikes and a summer-ready open mesh upper.
