Full details

The STARESSO SP300 Plus is designed for coffee enthusiasts and travelers who demand barista-quality espresso without the need for electricity or large machinery. Its key benefit lies in the patented segmented hydraulic extraction system, which reliably achieves 15–20 bars of pressure to produce a rich, crema-topped espresso; however, the manual pumping action does require a moderate amount of physical effort to operate consistently.

FAQs

Does this machine heat the water?

No, the STARESSO SP300 Plus does not heat water. You must pour hot water into the reservoir.

Can I use coffee pods?

The SP300 Plus is designed specifically for fresh coffee grounds.

How much coffee does it hold?

It can hold up to 24g of coffee grounds, which is enough for a strong double shot.

Is the unit dishwasher safe?

While the exterior parts can be rinsed, it is recommended to hand-wash the unit to maintain the integrity of the seals and coatings.

What pressure can this machine reach?

It is capable of generating 15–20 bars of pressure.

Troubleshooting

Water is not passing through the grounds

The coffee grind may be too fine or tamped too tightly; adjust to a slightly coarser grind or use less force when tamping.

Pressure loss while pumping

Check that all threaded components are screwed on tightly and that the silicone gaskets are clean and properly seated.

Espresso lacks crema

Ensure the water is hot enough and the coffee beans are fresh; older beans lose the CO2 necessary for a rich crema.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Before your first use, disassemble the unit and rinse all components with warm water. To brew, add your coffee grounds to the filter basket, tamp them lightly, and screw the parts together tightly to prevent leaks. Add hot water to the reservoir, place the lid on top, and pump until the espresso finishes flowing. For maintenance, the device is fully washable. After each use, disassemble the filter and pump assemblies to remove spent grounds, then rinse with water. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or putting the internal mechanical parts through a dishwasher to ensure the longevity of the nano-ceramic components.
