Metzeler has developed specific (M) and (O) specifications to provide motorcyclists with the latest technology in wet grip while maintaining high performance in other areas. The rear tyre in these specifications uses a bi-compound mixture. The central tread section (approx. 45 mm wide) has a 70% silica content for higher mileage and stability at high speeds. The tyre shoulders (approx. 88 mm each side) feature a 100% silica compound, dramatically increasing chemical grip in the wet and reducing sliding. The front tyre also uses a 100% silica compound.
