The Chlorophytum Comosum Ocean, also known as the Spider Plant, is a popular houseplant with bright green leaves edged with a cream margin. This variety features chunkier, shorter leaves compared to other spider plants. It grows in a 12cm pot and is approximately 20cm tall. The plant thrives in bright, indirect light and prefers general-purpose potting compost. It is a fast-growing, tender plant suitable for indoor environments only. As it matures, it develops stems with baby plants at their tips, which can be propagated to create new plants. To care for it, water freely during the growing season and keep drier in winter. Misting the leaves occasionally can help increase humidity, and it requires winter temperatures above 8°C. Repotting should be done when the plant outgrows its current pot. A 14cm pot cover is recommended for a good fit.
