This Gunson Dent Puller Kit (77175) is designed for DIY enthusiasts and auto repair professionals looking to remove or significantly reduce small dents and dings from vehicle bodywork without professional respraying. Its key benefit is offering a cost-effective, paintless repair solution. A potential caveat is that it's best suited for smaller imperfections and may not handle deep creases or large impact damage.

The kit is most effective on small to medium-sized dents and dings, typically those that haven't creased the metal sharply or are on relatively flat surfaces.
When used correctly, this paintless dent removal kit is designed not to damage the original paintwork. However, improper technique or excessive force could potentially cause issues.
The number of uses depends on the size of the dents and how much glue is applied per pull. The kit includes two sticks, and spares are available.
This kit is primarily designed for metal body panels. Its effectiveness on plastic bumpers may vary and is not guaranteed.
The paintless dent removal pencil punch is used for fine adjustments. It can help to gently tap down any high spots that may remain after pulling the dent, or to carefully work the edges of a repair.
The special PDR glue used is formulated to be strong enough to pull metal but designed to release cleanly without damaging automotive paint when used with the release agent.
The glue gun is 240V mains powered and comes with a standard BS (UK) plug.
Ensure the glue gun has reached its full operating temperature. Check that the glue stick is properly loaded and hasn't run out. Verify the power connection.
Clean the panel surface thoroughly to remove dirt or grease. Ensure the glue is applied hot and directly onto the center of the dent. Press the tab firmly for a few seconds.
Apply more hot glue and allow it to cool slightly longer before pulling. Try using a different sized pulling tab if available. Consider a second pull from a slightly different angle or with more gradual force. This kit is best for smaller dents.
Apply the release agent generously around the base of the tab where it meets the glue. Allow it to penetrate for a minute before gently twisting or prying the tab off. Avoid excessive force that could damage the paint.
Use the glue scraper gently once the glue has cooled. For stubborn residue, the release agent can help soften it. Clean the area with a mild car wash soap and water.
