The PLANET IXT-705AT is a compact, industrial-grade 10G Ethernet Media Converter designed for robust network distance extension in harsh environments. It offers non-blocking, wire-speed performance with a flexible solution for 10 Gigabit Ethernet extension. This converter features one 100Mbps, 1Gbps, 2.5Gbps, 5Gbps, and 10GBASE-T RJ45 copper interface, and one 10GBASE-X SFP+ fiber optic interface. It is housed in an IP30 rugged, compact case with a redundant power system, making it ideal for applications requiring 10 Gigabit bandwidth in demanding industrial conditions with operating temperatures ranging from -40 to 75 degrees C. The high data throughput of 20Gbps internal fabric and auto-negotiation support on its 10 Gigabit ports ensure efficient packet transfer. With a 16K jumbo frame feature, it handles large data transmissions, suitable for data centers, cloud computing, enterprise backbones, campus networks, and carrier infrastructure. The SFP+ slot is compatible with 10GBASE-SR or 10GBASE-LR transceivers, extending network deployment distances from 300 meters (multi-mode) to 10/40/60 kilometers (single-mode). The IP30 metal case provides immunity against electromagnetic interference and electrical surges. Redundant power inputs (12-48V DC or 24V AC) enhance reliability. It also offers robust protection with ±6KV DC contact discharge and ±8KV DC air discharge for Ethernet ESD protection, and ±4KV surge immunity.
