Bartoline PVA is a versatile multi-purpose bonding agent, adhesive, and sealer suitable for a wide range of DIY and building tasks. It can be used as a cement and plaster admixture, and bonds effectively to most common building materials, excluding PVC and rubber. This product is ideal for priming unsound surfaces before painting or plastering, acting as an adhesive for wood, cork, and textiles on porous surfaces, and sealing dusty or flaking paintwork. It also serves as a bonding agent for plaster and an admixture for cement, mortar, screeds, and renders to enhance adhesion and tensile strength. For priming or sealing porous surfaces like old concrete or plasterboard, dilute 1 part PVA with 4 parts water. As an adhesive, apply to both surfaces and join while tacky, clamping for 24 hours. When used as a bonding agent for plaster, apply neat to the surface before plastering. For cement admixtures, use neat for small renders or dilute 3 parts PVA with 1 part water for larger areas, applying to the surface before the normal render mix. As a filler/plaster admixture, replace water with a 1:1 dilution of PVA. Not suitable for exterior use or in damp conditions.
