Originally designed as a stackable chair for mass seating at Copenhagen's iconic Langelinie Pavilion, the Pavilion chair offers a classic, timeless design. Created by Andersen & Voll in collaboration with &Tradition, it features slim arms and legs, which give a light appearance and an airy feeling. Well-suited to a range of interior styles, the Pavilion chair is available with or without arms, and comes in a choice of either a lacquered or black lacquered oak and lacquered walnut finish. The chair's dimensions are L 52.5 x Depth 50 x H 76 cm with a seat height of 68 cm. A combination of traditional and current modernism creates an exceptional seat, designed to overlook the seafront promenade in Denmark. Pavilion was created especially to furnish the Langelinie Pavilion, an historic post-war building. Rebuilt for the third time in 1958 by the architects couple, Eva and Niels Koppel, this pavilion located in the grounds of Kastellet castle, in Copenhagen, pays homage to modernism. With its slender and airy silhouette, the Pavilion stacking chair blends harmoniously into any interior. Its tubular steel base is fine and delicate. Combined with a seat and backrest in lacquered wood, Pavilion provides elegance, grace and lightness. The designers of this chair, Torbjørn Anderssen and Espen Voll, explain that Pavilion has: ""a soft aesthetic inside an outline that is completely curves, hardly visible"". What a way to give your room a lyrical and poetic touch.
