Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Unpack: Remove the football from its packaging.
- Locate Valve: Find the inflation valve, typically a small, rubberized opening on one of the panels.
- Prepare Pump: Insert the needle of a football pump into the valve. Ensure the needle is slightly moistened before insertion to prevent damage to the valve.
- Inflate: Inflate the ball slowly and evenly. Refer to the recommended pressure, usually printed near the valve (often in PSI or Bar). Avoid over-inflation, as this can damage the ball or compromise its feel.
- Check Pressure: Use a pressure gauge for accuracy. The ball should feel firm but have a slight give when pressed.
Compatibility
The adidas Glider Football is designed for all-surface play. This includes natural grass, artificial turf, dirt pitches, and even paved or street surfaces. Its durable construction is built to withstand varied environments, making it a versatile choice for different playing locations.
Care
- Cleaning: After use, especially on muddy or dirty surfaces, wipe the ball clean with a damp cloth. For tougher grime, a mild soap solution can be used, followed by a thorough wipe with a clean, damp cloth.
- Storage: Store the ball in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Avoid leaving it exposed to prolonged heat or cold, as this can affect the bladder and outer material.
- Avoid Punctures: Keep the ball away from sharp objects, thorns, or abrasive surfaces that could puncture or scuff the outer material.
- Pressure Maintenance: Periodically check the ball's air pressure and re-inflate as needed to maintain optimal performance and prolong its lifespan.
