Revitalize your exterior surfaces with Sadolin Superdec Satin, a durable, water-based wood protection suitable for a variety of materials, including wood, plastic, steel, cladding, concrete, masonry, and doors and windows. This opaque wood protection solution is ideal for various exterior joinery and timber applications. It features a self-priming, water-based formula and is perfect for exterior joinery such as windows, doors, and conservatories. It can also be applied on weathered plastic, metal, cladding, concrete, and masonry surfaces. The paint maintains flexibility and resists cracking, peeling, and flaking, drying to an opaque satin finish. It offers up to 10 years of protection and has low VOC levels. The coverage is up to 10m² per litre, with a drying time of 4 hours. Sadolin Superdec offers a versatile solution addressing common issues found with traditional paints. It's applicable on new, previously painted, or stained surfaces, making it ideal for situations requiring a complete colour change or for weathered surfaces with uneven appearances. Suitable for various surfaces including exterior wood (windows, doors, conservatories, fencing, cladding), plastic (PVCu), metal, concrete, brick, stone, and Plastisol. Not recommended for wooden decking or floors, copper, polished concrete, or concrete floors. Preparation guidelines include ensuring surfaces are clean, dry, and free from debris, with wood moisture content not exceeding 18%. For new wood, remove resinous deposits and address defects with wood filler. Use non-ferrous fixings. For resinous or knotty softwoods and coloured hardwoods, a blocking primer is recommended for white or pale colours to minimise extractive discoloration. Sand surfaces for adhesion and remove dust. For previously painted or varnished wood, lightly sand surfaces in good condition. Wash stained surfaces with detergent and water. For poor condition surfaces, remove loose material, sand, and strip bare if necessary. For glazing, finish the backs of beads, end grains, and rebates with Superdec Opaque Wood Protection before fixing, and use a suitable sealant. Avoid linseed oil putty. Application requires stirring the product thoroughly before and during use. It is ready for use and should not be thinned. Apply in a full, flowing coat, ensuring complete coverage, especially on end grain, tops and bottoms of doors, and undersides of window sills. Use a high-quality synthetic fibre brush for waterborne products. Protect the treated surface from frost and rain until fully dry. Aftercare involves lightly abrading the surface and cleaning with warm water and mild detergent if colour or sheen reduces. Rinse and allow to dry before applying a fresh coat. For severe flaking or peeling, follow the full preparation and application instructions. Sealing knots is generally not necessary unless using white or pale colours on resinous woods. Green residue should be removed with an algae remover. Sadolin Superdec colours have a satin finish unless opting for White/Black Gloss. It is suitable for wooden sheds and fence panels.
