Pennisetum Alopecuroides 'Hameln Gold' is a superb ornamental fountain grass that forms a beautiful, arching clump of green blades that turn a rich golden yellow in autumn. Tall and large slivery-white flower plumes hover above the plant mid to late summer and further add interest to this showy grass plant. Hameln Gold is very versatile and makes an excellent ground cover plant, looks stunning as a specimen plant near ponds or low borders and can be planted in large containers. Plant in partially shaded or sunny locations in moist, fertile soil. Cut back stems close to ground level from late February through to the end of March.
