Troubleshooting

Putty is not hardening or curing properly.

Ensure the putty was kneaded sufficiently until it reached a uniform color. If the ambient temperature is too low (below 40°F/4°C), curing may be significantly slowed or inhibited. Try moving the item to a warmer location.

Putty is too hard to knead immediately after cutting.

This is normal as the resin and hardener begin to react. Knead more vigorously to soften it. Ensure the putty was stored correctly and not exposed to excessive heat, which could pre-cure it.

Poor adhesion to the surface.

Ensure the surface was clean, dry (as much as possible for the application), and free of grease, oil, or loose material. Lightly sanding the surface before application can improve adhesion.

Putty is not sticking in a submerged application.

Ensure the area is relatively free of strong currents during application. Press the putty firmly into place and hold for a few minutes to allow initial adhesion before releasing.
