Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
This adapter is designed for plug-and-play operation. Simply connect an Ethernet cable from your IEEE802.3at-compatible PoE switch or injector to the adapter's RJ-45 input port. Then, connect your USB-C powered device to the adapter's USB Type-C output port.
Compatibility:
- Network: Requires an IEEE802.3at compliant Power Source Equipment (PSE) such as a PoE switch or injector. It is backward compatible with IEEE802.3af but may not deliver full power.
- Devices: Compatible with low-power mobile devices (phones, tablets, game consoles) that support USB Power Delivery (USB PD) 3.0 via their Type-C port. Ensure your device's power requirements are met by the adapter's output profiles (5V/2.6A, 9V/1.75A, 12V/1.45A, 15V/1.37A, 20V/1.15A).
- Cabling: Supports Cat5 Ethernet cables up to a maximum distance of 100 meters.
Care:
- Keep the adapter in a dry environment. Recommended operating relative humidity is 20-80%.
- Avoid exposing the adapter to extreme temperatures; store it between -20 and 70 °C.
- Clean the exterior with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquids or cleaning agents.
- Ensure proper ventilation around the adapter to prevent overheating.
