The small, funny fruits of the Peter Pepper Penis Chili can be up to 7 cm long and 2.5 cm wide, have a sharpness level of six and are fully ripe after about 65 days, changing their color from green to yellow-orange to red during ripening. The chili plant grows rather bushy with a neat foliage, while the stem, leaf stalks and leaf veins are clearly hairy. Peter Pepper has its natural habitat in eastern Texas and Louisiana, but is also cultivated in Mexico today. The seeds can be planted about 0.5 cm to 1 cm deep in moist potting soil. Keep the soil moist but not wet, preferably using a water sprayer daily to moisten the soil. Cover the seed container with clear film to prevent the soil from drying out. Place the seed container in a bright and warm place with a temperature between 22° and 30° Celsius. The first seedlings should appear after three to ten days. You can now remove the clear film and keep the sprouts a little cool and as bright as possible, but not in the full midday sun.
