No, Frenchic Original Artisan Paint does not require a primer. Simple preparation, such as ensuring the surface is clean and dry, is sufficient.
A 750ml tin will cover approximately 8 square meters with a single coat.
While it is self-sealing, for high-traffic areas like kitchen cabinets or tabletops, it is highly recommended to apply a separate sealant or top coat for enhanced durability and protection.
This paint is designed for interior use only and is not recommended for outdoor furniture.
Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or excessive scrubbing, especially if no additional sealant has been applied.
Apply your base coat, let it dry. Apply a second contrasting color over the top. Once the second coat is dry, use fine-grit sandpaper or a sanding sponge to gently rub away areas of the top coat, revealing the color underneath.
This paint is formulated for furniture and hard surfaces like wood, laminate, and metal. It is not recommended for use on fabric.
Stir the paint thoroughly. If still too thick, a very small amount of water (no more than 5%) can be added, but this may affect self-sealing properties.
Ensure the surface is properly prepped and clean. Apply paint in thin, even coats using a good quality brush. Lightly sand between coats if necessary, once fully dry.
Ensure the surface is completely clean and free from dust, grease, or old finishes. For laminate or very smooth surfaces, a light scuff sand may improve adhesion.
Colors can vary based on lighting conditions and surface type. Test the color on an inconspicuous area first. The final look is also influenced by the number of coats and whether a sealant is applied.
Setup: Ensure the surface to be painted is clean, dry, and free from grease or debris. No priming is necessary. Stir the paint thoroughly before use.
Compatibility: This paint is recommended for interior wooden furniture and is also suitable for most wooden surfaces, laminate, and metal. It is EN71-3 certified, making it safe for use on children's toys.
Care: For best results and durability, especially on surfaces prone to wear, apply a separate sealant or top coat after the paint has fully dried. Clean brushes and tools with water immediately after use. Store paint in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
