In the ninth film of the series, Fast & Furious 9, the 1970 Chevrolet Nova SS appears as Letty's favorite car in the car action scene in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. The Chevrolet Chevy II was a small American subcompact car that appeared in 1962, and the name Nova was used as its higher grade. It was originally a family car, but in 1963, a sports grade SS (Super Sport) was added, and in 1964, in addition to the traditional inline-4 and inline-6 engines, a powerful V8 engine was also installed, making it more powerful. The car in the movie is the third-generation Nova that appeared in 1968, and the motif is a specification with a 427cu.in. (7 liter) engine and manual 4-speed transmission that was not installed in general sales cars but was installed in some special-order cars, and its speed is impressively depicted in the movie.
