Brussel Sprout Groninge (Brassicaoleracea var.gemmifers). Sow seeds 1.5cm deep in trays of moist compost, be careful not to over-water. Store in a warm location at an approximate temperature of 16°c (60°f). Plant out in desired location in May-June. Sow seeds 1.5cm deep direct in growing bed. Keep the soil moist, and be careful not to over-water. When large enough to handle, the seedlings should have 2-3 leaves, thin to 18" (45cm) apart. Pick the sprouts from the bottom of the plants first. Keep well watered in dry conditions. Be careful when weeding as their roots are easily damaged. This variety produces large, dark green tasty sprouts, and the heaviest yields from Autumn to Christmas.
