A low growing herbaceous perennial shrub and a variety of popular heuchera. The Heuchera 'Midnight Rose', also commonly known as Alum Root or Coral Bells, is lovely addition to any garden working well as part of a border or shrub bed. The large, palmate leaves are deep purple colour, with splashes of intense pink and a bright pink underside to each leaf. In late Spring slender stems appear above the foliage carrying tiny, bell-shaped cream flowers. Plant in moist, fertile, well-drained soil and keep in full or partial sunlight. Once established, can survive in dry shade. Susceptible to root heaving due to frosted ground which may be prevented by mulching.
