The cascading habit makes it perfect for brightening shady spots, hanging baskets, and containers. Sow begonia seeds from mid January to mid March at 24-27ºC (75-80ºF) on the surface of a good quality seed compost and gently firm down. Keep the soil damp but not wet and do not exclude light. Place in a propagator or seal the seed tray inside a polythene bag until after germination, which usually takes 15-60 days. When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant and grow them on in cooler conditions until ready to plant outdoors. Acclimatise plants over 7-10 days once all risk of frost has passed. Transplant outdoors in sun or dapple shade on fertile, well-drained soil at 20cm (8”) spacing. Feed and water frequently, avoid overwatering, and deadhead faded flowers regularly to prolong flowering. Caution: begonia seeds are dust-like; open carefully over white paper. Image may be included for illustration of supply but can vary due to seasonality changes (e. g. , deciduous plants lose leaves in colder months). Decorative pots are not supplied.
