The battle of Stalingrad was a turning point in the Second World War. Between the summer of 1942 and the first months of 1943 the soldiers of the Soviet Red Army faced off against the German army for control of the Volga and Don regions. Military operations were concentrated in the symbolic city of Stalingrad destroyed by intense German bombing. In the ruins of the city the fighting between the two armies was brutal and violent. German objectives include control of the industrial area with the imposing tractor factory, converted during the war to the production of T-34 tanks, now destroyed by bombing and artillery fire. On November 19, 1942, the Soviets launched their offensive. This detailed scale model kit by Italeri is made in Italy. For collectors aged 14 years and over.
