The evergreen Arbutus with its cherry laurel-like leaves produces beautiful strawberry-like fruits, which are good to eat and available in different colors. You can make jam or liqueur from the fruits. The strawberry tree tolerates frost and can be cultivated outdoors in regions with mild winters. The seeds should be kept in the refrigerator for about a month to simulate winter before sowing.
