As the name suggests this brick style was widely used pre the 2nd world war, back to Victorian times. Height is an imperial 73mm making it a good match for renovation work on existing buildings. Often referred to as a Cheshire Pre-War Common the brick was initially very popular across Cheshire, Manchester and the North West of England. There are also pockets of the Midlands where it was also very popular. This brick is often specified for development use in conservation areas.
