The Omron M2 + Blood Pressure Monitor utilizes the oscillometric method to provide precise blood pressure measurements. For optimal performance and accuracy, proper preparation and technique are crucial. Before taking a measurement, ensure you avoid alcohol, smoking, hot beverages, eating, or exercise for at least 30 minutes. Rest for 5 minutes prior to measurement. Install batteries (GP Batteries recommended based on product variant name) into the monitor. Apply the large cuff (22-42 cm) securely to your left upper arm; the Cuff Wrap Guide will assist in correct placement. If using your right arm, refer to the detailed instructions in the included Instruction Manual (IM1). Sit correctly with your back supported and your arm resting at heart level. Remain still and avoid talking during the measurement. Press the START/STOP button to begin the measurement. The Intellisense technology will inflate the cuff to the appropriate level for comfort. Once complete, the readings will display, and the Easy High Blood Pressure Indicator will highlight if your blood pressure is high. The monitor will also detect and flag any irregular heartbeats or body movements that occurred during the measurement. Remember, never self-diagnose or treat based on these readings; always consult your physician for interpretation and guidance.
