Liberon Boiled Linseed Oil provides a mellow, patinated finish to new or stripped bare interior wood. This superior quality oil, similar to Raw Linseed, has been treated with hot air to improve drying times. It is suitable for use on all types of wood, except exterior oak, and can also serve as a traditional sealer for terracotta tiles, stone floors, and other porous surfaces before waxing. Specifications: Dry Time: 24 hours. Coverage: 8-10m². Location: Interior. Application: Brush or Cloth. Tool Cleaning: White Spirit. Instructions: Preparation: Ensure the surface to be treated is clean and dry. Remove any previous finishes thoroughly. Application: For the first few coats, dilute with turpentine (up to 30%). Apply using a lint-free cotton cloth, rubbing well into the wood. After approximately 20 minutes, wipe off any excess with a clean cloth. Failure to remove excess can lead to penetration issues and a sticky surface. Repeat the application process one or two more times at 24-hour intervals. Apply a final coat, again wiping off any excess. Allow this coat to harden for several days before use. For improved results, lightly rub between coats with Libéron Ultrafine Steel Wool (grade 0000). Maintenance: Wipe the surface with a damp cloth and buff dry. Re-oil as needed based on usage. Storage: Store at temperatures above 5°C. Always replace the lid to prevent deterioration. Caution: Risk of self-combustion. Wet any textiles or tools soiled with the product with water and dispose of them in a tightly closed container. Always test the product on a spare surface or inconspicuous area for colour, compatibility, and the final result.
