These speakers are designed for 8 Ohm low-impedance systems. They are not compatible with 100V line systems. Always ensure your amplifier's impedance rating and power output are suitable for the number of speakers you connect.
The number of speakers depends on your amplifier's impedance handling. Generally, with an 8 Ohm amplifier, you can connect one pair (2 speakers). With a 4-8 Ohm amplifier, up to two pairs (4 speakers) in parallel. With a 2-8 Ohm amplifier, up to four pairs (8 speakers) in parallel.
The mounting depth for these speakers is very shallow, only 57mm, making them ideal for installations with limited space above the mounting surface.
These speakers are designed for indoor ceiling or wall installation. They are not weather-resistant and should not be exposed to moisture or extreme temperatures.
Due to their compact size and low-profile design, these speakers are optimized for mid-range and treble frequencies. For deep bass, they are best paired with a subwoofer or used in conjunction with larger main speakers.
A cut-out diameter of 90mm is required for installation.
The mesh grilles are designed for a flush finish. While typically not recommended to paint for optimal sound, if necessary, use a very light coat of spray paint suitable for metal mesh, being careful not to clog the mesh openings.
Verify speaker wire connections at both the speaker and the amplifier. Ensure correct polarity (+/-) is maintained. Check that the amplifier is powered on and set to the correct input source. Confirm the amplifier is compatible with the speaker's 8 Ohm impedance and the number of speakers connected.
Check for loose wire connections. Ensure the amplifier's volume is not set too high, potentially exceeding the speaker's power rating (10W RMS). Inspect the speaker cone for any obstructions or damage.
Ensure the speaker is installed correctly with the grille attached. Confirm the flared baffle is oriented to direct sound towards the listening area. Check for other obstructions that might be blocking sound waves.
Ensure the cut-out size is correct (90mm). Verify that the "dog ear" mounting tabs are properly extended and tightened against the mounting surface.
