The evergreen Lebanon cedar was considered the queen of trees by the ancient Phoenicians, who used the durable and fragrant cedar wood for shipbuilding. The attractive park tree grows slowly to a final height of 10 to 20 meters. As a young plant, it is quite decorative, frost-resistant, and develops its unique growth form over the years, making it perfect for cultivation as a solitary plant. Initially, the Lebanon cedar grows cylindrically and, with age, develops an attractive, irregular, umbrella-shaped silhouette. For the country of Lebanon, it is so important that it is even shown on the coat of arms. Seeds can be propagated indoors all year round.
