This modern re-interpretation of the 1968 Diver's watch is inspired by Japan’s first hi-beat one-piece Diver’s watch. The success of the 1968 model laid the foundation for Seiko Diver's watch development. Showcasing the latest Seiko manufacture movement: the in-house Calibre 6R54, this watch features mechanical GMT functionality. The automatic GMT movement can also be manually wound and operates at 21,600vph with +25 to -15 seconds per day accuracy, delivering an extended 72 hours of power reserve. It offers magnetic resistance of 4,800 A/m (60 gauss) and Seiko’s ‘Diashock’ shock protection system. The date of month function can be adjusted with a quick-change facility. The movement allows independent setting of the GMT hand in one-hour increments, with a subtle 24-hour scale on the dial rehaut for added functionality while maintaining a clean Diver’s watch aesthetic. The bracelet is designed for comfort with a low centre of gravity and short-pitch, equipped with a high-quality machined three-fold clasp with a secure lock and divers’ extension piece. Indexes and hands are coated with ‘Lumibrite’ for excellent legibility in low light. The case is sealed and tested for 200m water resistance and is ISO 6425 ‘Diver’ rated, meeting stringent ‘tool’ watch tests including thermal shock, magnetic shielding, and corrosion resistance. The watch features a striking green dial and matching green bezel, both enhanced by Lumibrite for exceptional legibility. The unidirectional rotating bezel and screw-down crown add durability, while the GMT function allows you to track a second time zone. The stainless steel bezel is enhanced by a ceramic insert. The watch is presented on a silver stainless steel bracelet with a push-button deployment clasp and features scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass. The case width is 42mm.
