The device offers three recording options - Insert mode, Overwrite mode, and Append mode - and a New File creation button, so you can add recordings to existing files and start new recordings when you're ready. The DS-2700 is designed for easy operation with an intuitive interface and a large color LCD screen. It includes built-in memory for storage, expandability via SD card media for additional capacity, and support for additional microphones and headphones. It also features a live recording monitor and an easily accessible, intuitive menu system. With 2GB of built-in memory and support for external SD cards up to 32GB (available separately) , you can easily transfer your recordings to your PC using the provided micro-B USB cable. In addition to headphones, you can connect boundary, shotgun, or lavalier microphones for specific situations.
