Thyme is a perennial, low-growing herb that reaches a height of up to 40 cm. Its leaves release an intense aromatic fragrance when rubbed, and it produces mauve flowers during the flowering period between May and October. As a potted plant, a tall pot should be used. The best time for propagation is in February in a sunny place indoors, as the seeds need light to germinate. The plant needs sun, warmth, and a sheltered spot to develop its full aroma. Keep the soil moist, but not wet.
