The peanut is botanically speaking, a pulse. It is an annual plant that grows herbaceously to a height of about 30 to 80 cm and the flowers are self-pollinating. The base of the carpel bends after pollination and sinks the fruits into the ground, where the peanuts mature. The best time for seed propagation is between January and October. Place the seeds in warm water for about 12 hours. Plant the seeds about 1 cm deep in moist potting compost and cover the seed container with transparent film. The peanut plant prefers sunny places. You can roast your peanuts and add salt to them in a pan to get a better taste. Since the peanut is an annual plant, it does not hibernate.
