The 'Blue Diamond' Tulip variety features striking, fully double flowers in a vibrant shade of violet purple, with subtle silvery tinges that develop as the blooms mature. These tulips grow to approximately 45cm tall, showcasing large, eye-catching blooms. Planting is recommended from September to October in pots, or from mid-October to December in beds and borders, after the first frost. Choose a sunny, sheltered location and plant bulbs about 20cm deep in well-draining soil, leaving 10-15cm space between each bulb for root development. Watering well after planting is advised. For optimal flowering, apply a high-potash fertilizer during the growing season. Deadhead spent flowers and allow the foliage to die back naturally before removing it. Bulbs can be stored for replanting the following autumn or left in the ground.
