They help deliver water and feed directly to the roots while forming a natural barrier against slugs. Suitable for tomato plants in grow pots, they can also be used for chillies and aubergines. Each pot features an outer trough that holds four pints of water or liquid feed, which gradually seeps into the compost, ensuring a steady supply directly to the plant roots. The inner chamber works as a ring culture pot, promoting stronger root development which supports healthier growth and better yields. These large plastic grow pots are 28cm in diameter and 17.7cm tall, with an inner opening diameter of 14.3cm. The base diameter of the inner chamber is 17cm, allowing easy placement into a grow bag. Three pots can be spaced neatly into one grow bag, making them ideal for growing potted tomato plants as well as other crops. The design encourages vigorous root growth by allowing additional compost to be placed around the inner chamber, helping the plant access more nutrients and develop a stronger structure. By combining steady watering with increased root activity, tomato plants in grow pots will typically produce higher yields. The pots can be placed directly into soil or into grow bags. If using a grow bag and you may wish to move it later, place the bag on a tray for easier handling. The pots are available in green and black, made from 100% recycled plastic, and built for repeated use season after season. Three grow pots will fit comfortably into a single grow bag of compost.
