The Blomberg MIX5402F is a 80cm black built-in induction hob designed for modern kitchens, offering flexible zone cooking and precise control for a variety of culinary tasks. Its key benefit lies in its induction technology, providing rapid, energy-efficient cooking with enhanced safety features. A potential caveat is the reliance on induction-compatible cookware, which may require users to verify their existing pots and pans.

You need cookware with a magnetic base. Test your existing pans by seeing if a magnet sticks to their bottom. Stainless steel (with a magnetic core), cast iron, and enameled iron pans are generally suitable.
Wipe the glass-ceramic surface with a damp cloth and mild detergent after the hob has cooled. For stubborn marks, a ceramic hob scraper can be used carefully.
The Booster function provides a temporary surge of maximum power to a selected cooking zone, allowing you to boil liquids or heat food much faster.
Typically, the Child Lock is activated by pressing and holding a specific button or combination of buttons for a few seconds. Refer to your user manual for the exact procedure.
While the induction hob surface itself does not get as hot as traditional electric or gas hobs, residual heat indicators ('h') will show if a zone is still warm after cooking. It's always best to check these indicators before touching.
The hob requires an installation compartment of 75cm width and 49cm depth. The overall hob dimensions are 77.2cm width, 51.2cm depth, and 4.8cm height.
The Blomberg MIX5402F offers 19 precise power levels for each cooking zone, adjustable via the touch slide control.
Check if the power cord is securely plugged in and if the household circuit breaker is activated. Ensure the child lock is not engaged. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
Verify that the pan has a magnetic base suitable for induction. Ensure the pan is centered on the cooking zone and is of an appropriate size for the zone. Clean the bottom of the pan and the hob surface.
Refer to the user manual for a specific list of error codes and their meanings. Common solutions involve resetting the hob by turning off the power supply for a few minutes.
Ensure the control panel is clean and dry. Remove any spills or debris. If the issue continues, try resetting the hob by switching off the main power.
Some clicking or humming sounds are normal during operation, especially with the booster function. If the noise is loud or persistent, check pan placement and ensure no foreign objects are present.
Setup:
The MIX5402F is designed for built-in installation into a standard kitchen countertop. Ensure the cutout dimensions (75cm width x 49cm depth) are met. The hob includes easy installation clips for secure mounting without screws. Ensure proper electrical connection by a qualified electrician, matching the AC input voltage (220-240 V) and frequency (50 Hz). The connected load is 7200 W.
Compatibility:
This induction hob requires cookware with a magnetic base. Test your existing pots and pans by checking if a magnet sticks firmly to the bottom. Pans that are not compatible will not heat up.
