Loctite 222 is a low-strength threadlocker that allows the adjustment of screws including countersunk head screws and set screws. This product can be easily applied to small fasteners and will lock and seal out moisture, but can also be gently removed with the same hand tool used to assemble the fasteners. It is good on low-strength metals which could fracture during disassembly, e.g. aluminium or brass. The product works on all metals, including passive substrates such as stainless steel, aluminium and plated surfaces. It is tolerant of minor contamination from industrial oils including engine oils, corrosion prevention oils and cutting fluids. Typical Applications include the oil industry.
