Silverhook DPF Diesel Particulate Filter Cleaner + EGR Aerosol Regenerator 400ml. Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF) are fitted to today's modern vehicles and are designed to catch soot, carbon, and ash in the exhaust. As with any filter they need to be emptied regularly to maintain efficient performance levels. The DPF cleaning process is called regeneration. The collected soot, carbon and ash is burnt off at high temperature whilst the vehicle is driven for 30 minutes or more at speeds greater than 40mph at 2000-2500 rpm. Sometimes the filter is simply too blocked for this regeneration process to take place. Silverhook Diesel Particulate Filter Cleaner (DPFC) is Non-flammable, free of metal and is designed to loosen soot, carbon and ash deposits in the particulate filter and help flush these particles out restoring the particulate filter to its full working capacity. Silverhook DPFC can also be used to help clean the EGR valve system that may have also become blocked with sooted particles. Applies directly into DPF system. Loosens soot, carbon & ash.
