EVERBUILD 501 PVA BOND is a medium viscosity, polyvinyl alcohol stabilized, externally plasticised, vinyl acetate homopolymer. It contains no harmful phthalates and is designed for use in the building industry as a general-purpose bonding agent, an additive for concrete and plasters, and as a multi-use adhesive. PVA BOND meets the bond strength requirements of BS5270, "Polyvinyl acetate (PVAC) emulsion bonding agents for internal use with gypsum building plasters". It offers greatly improved adhesion to a wide range of substrates including dense concrete, glass, and steel. It is ideal for priming unsound surfaces prior to plastering or painting, as an adhesive for wood, cork, and textiles, and for general dust sealing on flaking paintwork/walls. As a cement and plaster admixture, it provides increased flexibility in sand cement products, improved frost resistance, and a reduced risk of salt permeation. Simply apply on a clean, dry, grease-free surface. For priming, dilute with 4 parts water to 1 part emulsion to seal the surface.
