The first Corvette generation was introduced in 1953, and the current model, which came out in 2020, is the eighth generation. The C8.R is based on the C8 and has been specially tuned for racing. This Corvette C8.R was designed to commemorate Barbie's 65th birthday. The engine is mounted in a mid-console behind the driver, almost in the middle of the vehicle. This helps to balance the vehicle weight between the front and rear wheels of the vehicle, which leads to advantages such as vehicle stability and easier control when cornering.
