It produces large, golden flowers that eventually yield giant seeds—a delight for birds! Blooms from July to September. Height: 4.6m (15'). Growing Information: Easy to cultivate and a hit with children, these flowers resemble oversized daisies with brightly coloured petals. Sow seeds thinly, burying them 1.3cm (½") deep directly into finely raked, moist, warm, and weed-free soil where they are intended to bloom. Germination typically occurs within 10-15 days. As seedlings develop, gradually thin them to achieve a final spacing of 30cm (12"). For earlier flowering, start seeds indoors in late February-March, transferring them into 9cm (3½") pots, and acclimatizing them before planting outdoors after the threat of frost has passed. Features: Pike's Peak sunflowers feature a robust stem that eliminates the need for staking, making them ideal for exposed garden locations. Enjoy large, vibrant golden flowers that create a stunning display from July to September, adding bright colour to your garden. After blooming, Pike's Peak produces giant seeds that attract and nourish local birds, making them a fantastic addition to any wildlife-friendly garden. Supplied as a Seed Packet - seed count approx.
