Barrettine Danish Oil is a blend of oils and resins that create an attractive lustre finish on all woods. It is ideal for Scandinavian furnishings, doors, and panelling. This oil offers excellent protection for non-food preparation surfaces in kitchens and on non-green oak timbers due to its water repellency. Primarily for indoor use, it can be used externally in more sheltered areas. The oil is easy to apply and provides a beautiful finish. Always shake the Danish Oil well before use and store the container upright. Ensure the wood is dry, clean, and free from coatings like wax, paint, or varnish. Sand down if necessary. Wipe oily woods with White Spirit before application. Apply using a brush or lint-free cloth, removing any excess oil within 10-15 minutes with a lint-free cloth. Caution: cloths used for oiling may spontaneously combust. Immediately after use, soak them in soapy water then lay them flat outside on a non-combustible surface to dry. The oil provides a fabulous, low-lustre finish, nourishing and protecting timber against stains and knocks. It achieves approximately 4-5 m² coverage with this size tin.
