Full details

The Scheppach HCE2400 is designed for homeowners who need a versatile, high-powered solution for maintaining patios, driveways, and vehicles. Its primary benefit lies in the robust 2400W motor and 180 bar pressure, which provides professional-grade cleaning power for stubborn grime; however, users should note that as a corded electric unit, its reach is limited by the proximity to an outdoor power outlet.

FAQs

Can I use hot water with this washer?

The HCE2400 is designed for use with cold tap water. Using hot water may damage the internal pump seals.

How do I swap between nozzles?

Simply pull back the collar on the Quick-Connect lance, insert the desired nozzle until it clicks into place, and release the collar.

Is the hose length extendable?

The unit comes with a 5m hose. We recommend using a high-quality outdoor extension lead for power rather than extending the pressure hose, which can cause pressure drops.

What maintenance does the pump require?

The pump is largely maintenance-free; however, keeping the water inlet filter clean is the most important step for longevity.

Can I use car shampoo in the tank?

Yes, you can use standard pressure-washer-safe detergent in the 0.56L tank to assist with cleaning vehicles or stubborn patio stains.

Troubleshooting

Pressure washer pulsates during use

This is usually caused by air in the system. Run water through the pump without the nozzle attached until a steady stream appears.

Detergent is not being drawn

Check that the detergent tank cap is tight and that the intake tube inside the tank is not obstructed or disconnected.

Unit fails to start

Verify that the power cable is fully plugged into a functional socket and check your local circuit breaker or fuse.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To begin, ensure all components—including the wand, hose, and selected nozzle—are firmly attached using the Quick-Connect system. Before switching the unit on, always connect the water supply and pull the trigger on the gun to prime the pump and remove trapped air. After each use, it is essential to disconnect the water source and discharge remaining pressure by squeezing the trigger. Always store the unit in a dry environment and ensure the detergent tank is flushed out with clean water to prevent nozzle clogs. Check the inlet filter regularly to ensure it is free of sediment, which helps maintain the pump's long-term health.
