Lovely for garden display and long lasting. Unwins Larkspur - Unwins Special Mix Seeds are a cottage garden favourite that's also great for cutting. Perfect for sunny borders, ideal for cutting. Sow: February to April, August to October. Flowering: May to August. Position: Full Sun. Features: Complementary mix of soft shades, ideal for sunny borders and for the vase. A cottage garden favourite, great for cutting. Sowing Indoors: Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface and lightly cover with a little more compost. Place in warmth, 10–15 °C, and keep moist. Growing On: When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings 5 cm apart into trays of potting compost. Gradually accustom them to conditions outside for 2–3 weeks before planting out to their cropping positions, 25 cm apart during summer. Sowing Outdoors: Rake soil to provide a firm, even surface. Sow seeds thinly in pre-watered soil, lightly covering with a little more soil. Keep moist until seedlings appear and water as required in dry spells. When large enough to handle, thin seedlings to allow their development. Advice: Spring sowings will bloom later the same year; autumn sowings will bloom earlier the following year, but will need some fleece protection from hard frosts. Warning: Humans/Pets: Harmful if eaten.
