Pink Star is a charming Camassia variety that adds intricate colour and texture to any outdoor space. These easy to grow bulbs will be the envy of your neighbours and are ideal for adding height to beds and borders. From late spring into early summer, tall spikes bear masses of open, star-shaped flowers in the palest shade of light pink, opening from the bottom up. Camassias make excellent cut flowers for indoor displays and are a magnet for pollinators, enticing bees and butterflies into the garden. Camassia thrives in full sun or partial shade in moist but well-draining soil. Dig a hole around 3 times as deep as the height of the bulb and position the bulb with the pointed side facing the sky. Backfill the hole with soil, firming down gently before watering well. Allow 10-15cm between bulbs. Camassia is fully hardy in the UK, which means the bulbs don’t need to be dug up and stored before planting again the following year.
