Temperature: Suitable for various climates. Watering: Keep soil consistently moist until plants are established. Feeding: Use a balanced fertiliser during the growing season. This extensive blend of more than 40 annuals and perennials offers a comprehensive array for enticing honey bees and various beneficial insects, while also aiding small animals by providing food and shelter. Each variety in this assortment is chosen not just for its valuable nectar but also for its delightful fragrances and aromas. Just unpack, scatter the seeds in your chosen spot, cover lightly, and anticipate a magnificent display! Height ranges from 30 to 80cm (12-32in). One pack is adequate for 6-8 square meters. Each pack will be supplied in a box with a net weight of 200g, including 15g seeds plus vermiculite which acts as a 'carrier' to help ensure the seed is distributed evenly when sowing. Your shaker mixes will perform best in a sunny or lightly shaded position, in any type of soil as long as there is adequate drainage. Prepare the ground by clearing any stones and weeds. Lightly dig over to loosen soil and rake over. Give the box a good shake and scatter the contents at a rate of 25-30g/sq. m (approximately 8 tablespoons). Water the ground immediately. Sow mid-March to June or September to November. Flowers in summer from a spring sowing, or the following spring from an autumn sowing; annuals will flower in their first year and then self-seed for flowering in following years, perennials normally flower from year 2 onwards (some may flower in their first year if sown early). Water regularly until they are fully established, especially during dry periods. Remove any fading flowers to encourage fresh blooms and keep weed free. Images shown are for guidance only.
