This type of waste branch is used to connect a section of waste pipe into an existing pipe run that is running at a 45 (or 135) degree angle to it. This fitting is available in 32mm and 40mm size options. Manufactured in the UK to BS EN 1455 and is kitemarked. To make a solvent weld joint, first ensure the outer wall of the pipe and the inner wall of the fitting are clean. Apply SC250 solvent cement to both surfaces, push the pipe fully into the fitting and give it a twist. Clean off any excess solvent with a damp cloth and leave for 5 minutes to set. The installation should be left for 12 hours before testing. Solvent weld joints are permanent and cannot be demounted once made. Always work in a well-ventilated area and keep cement away from heat sources or naked flames. Avoid skin contact; if contact occurs, wash thoroughly with soap and water. This white ABS waste branch from FloPlast is ideal for carrying waste safely and cleanly away from your home. Suitable for most standard size waste pipes (excluding solvent weld waste).
