Excellent for borders, meadows, and cutting. Blue Lace Flower Lace Heavenly Umbels is a graceful annual, admired for its soft, domed clusters of blue blooms that resemble fine lace. Floating on slender stems above delicate foliage, these flowers bring an airy, romantic quality to borders and wildlife-friendly plantings. Highly attractive to pollinators, this variety is also excellent for cutting, with its intricate blooms adding texture and charm to arrangements. Easy to grow in sunny, well-drained spots, it flowers generously through summer, creating a light, elegant presence in the garden. Delicate sweet scent. Perfect for cutting. An elegant flower for cutting producing large lace umbels with a long vase life. Sow: Mar to Jun, Flowering: Jul to Sep. Sow almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds 1mm deep and lightly cover with a little more compost. Place in a warm spot at 15–20°C and keep moist. Germination can take up to 21 days. Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2–3 weeks before planting out from early summer onwards. Allow 20cm between plants. Seed can be sown outdoors when soil is warm. Sow thinly and lightly cover with a little soil. Keep soil moist until seedlings emerge. Thin to 2cm apart and transfer thinnings to other parts of your garden. Support with a plant stake. Feed and water regularly, and pick flowers often to ensure a continuous supply.
