Broccoli Aut Calabrese (Brassica oleracea va.cymosa): Wonderfully tasty ‘autumn broccoli’, producing luscious, green vegetables. These are ideal boiled, steamed or even in a flavorsome stir fry dish. A quick growing variety, producing mild flavoured large green heads. Ideal for freezing. Sow Indoors: March- May. Sow Outdoors: March- May. Row Width: 24" / 60cm. Harvest: August- September. Indoor Planting: Sow seeds 1.5cm deep in trays of moist compost, be careful not to over-water. Store in glass house. Plant out in desired location in June- July. Outdoor Planting: Sow seeds 1.5cm deep direct in growing bed. Keep the soil moist, and be careful not to over-water. When large enough to handle thin to 18" (45cm) apart. Ideal for successional sowing. Keep free from weeds.
