Experience high-performance robust PENN Quality with this fishing reel, featuring a strong reinforced ABS graphite lightweight body construction and a CNC machined anodized aircraft grade aluminium spool. It boasts a diecast foldable aluminum handle with a washed out wooden handle knob, and an extra strong aluminium bail wire. Inside, a strong Zinc alloy pinion and drive gear set ensures durability. The 6+1 quality stainless steel ball bearings are sealed, providing butter-smooth rotation. Thanks to the extra slow oscillation system and long stroke spool, you get a perfect line lay for accurate long-distance casting. The reliable front drag features a sealed HT-100 multi-disk carbon drag system for smooth line take even when fighting big carp, offering a max drag power of 13.6kg / 30lb on the 8000 size. Designed with fishing for big carp and catfish in mind, these reels are also great all-rounders for long-distance casting. With special saltwater anti-corrosion treatment, they are also suitable for surfcasting from the beach. The Big Pit reel comes in 7000 and 8000 sizes with a gear ratio of 4.7:1, providing a line retrieve per handle turn of 95cm and 108cm respectively. It includes an aluminium spare spool matching the main spool design for backup line options.
