Salix integra ‘Hakuro-nishiki’, commonly known as the Flamingo Dwarf Willow, is a deciduous tree celebrated for its vibrant foliage. In spring and summer, it boasts pink-tipped leaves against a backdrop of green and white variegated foliage. During late winter, the tree displays yellow catkins on its orange-brown branches. The branches have a pendulous habit, which can be maintained or pruned for a neater appearance, particularly suitable for patio growing. The Flamingo Willow is an excellent choice for smaller gardens, guaranteed to capture attention. It thrives in moist, well-draining soil and dislikes dry conditions, requiring watering during dry, warm spells. This tree has also received the Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society.
